Procedures & Guidelines for Program Registration & Payment.

*Please Read: There are several ways that you can register for Recreation Programs. Be sure to read through each before beginning the process.  Some programs might not be available for online registration.

You may find registration forms online at bristolrec.org, Payment may be sent via

mail with your signed registration to:

Drop Box– A drop box is available for after hour registration and payments of programs.  The box is located at Holley Hall on the door to the Town Offices on East St. Please leave your completed form and check payable to Bristol Rec Dept in metal drop box.

Signed registrations and payments may be dropped off at the town  office. The Office is open from 8 am until 4:30pm M-F. (Credit cards are not accepted at the town office)

Credit cards accepted: MasterCard, Discover, American Express or Visa. A per transaction service fee of $3.00 will be charged by the payment processing company for this service.

 

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES

  1. Parent/Guardian signature required for youths 17 and under.
  2. Please REGISTER EARLY!
  3. Registration enrollment is limited for some classes.
  4. REGISTRATION DEADLINE … we must meet our minimum enrollment number, one week prior to the start date of programs.
  5. Mail-in registration forms must be received four days prior to programs’ starting dates.
  6. F. Fees payable at time of registration (CASH, CHECK, or Credit Card).
  7. Registration fee arrangements can be made, contact the Recreation Director.
  8. Non-residents accepted if space is available, with the additional out of town fee applied.($10.00)
  9. I. No telephone registrations accepted
  10. All registration are on a first come first served basis. A paid registration is necessary to hold a space in a class.
  11. We afford equal opportunity to all people to participate in our   programs.
  12. If you are a person with a disability or require accommodations, please contact the Recreation Director prior to the program’s starting date. We will do our best to accommodate.
  13. Residents are those whose primary home is located in the Five Town area (Bristol, Lincoln, Starksboro, Monkton & New Haven)
  14. N. Please be aware that program information and fees are subject to change.
  15. O. Refunds based on refund policy.

 REGISTRATION LATE FEES

Registrations not received prior to the first day of class may be assessed a $15 administrative late fee.  

Cancellations

If ANESU schools are cancelled due to inclement weather.   Bristol Recreation Department programs will also be cancelled.  

 

SCHOLARSHIP ASSISTANCE

Scholarship Assistance is available through the Recreation Office.

 

REFUND POLICY

If you are dissatisfied with a program after the first session (class), you must submit a written explanation to Bristol Recreation Department prior to the second session (class) to be eligible to receive a refund. In the event of an extended illness or injury, we must be notified immediately, and we will issue a prorated refund. A medical and/or doctor’s explanation will be required. We cannot issue refunds for trips, special events, ticketed events, and no refunds are given for a single session. Refunds will be issued for programs canceled by the Bristol Recreation Department.

An administration fee of $5.00 will be charged for all processed refunds.

BACKGROUND CHECKS

In order to protect the citizens of Bristol, it is the policy of the Town of Bristol to conduct criminal background checks of all volunteers and subcontractors providing unsupervised care or services for vulnerable populations (youths ages 18 and under, adults with disabilities and elderly). The Bristol Recreation Department will only select persons who are of good character and who have the skills and other qualifications necessary to fulfill their role.
